I deeply believe that the therapeutic process can unravel life’s stressors. I understand that the process of therapy is a journey and I am here to help with yours. Together we will gain a deeper understanding, build self-esteem, create awareness, regain confidence and find your inner peace and self-empowerment.
I view myself as the passenger on your journey because you are the expert in your life. My role is to help you understand how things shifted for you and together we work on getting back on the track you'd like to be on. I work in a directive style and pull from various therapeutic orientations simply because we are all different and no one intervention works for everyone.
Aside from my experience in working with trauma, PTSD, depression and anxiety, I have years of experience working with chronic illness/disease and chronic pain through my work with the Cancer Support Community Redondo Beach facilitating patient and caregiver groups. I also facilitate the kids groups, children with a family member with cancer as well as kids who have lost a family member to cancer (Kids Grief and Loss).
Prior to persuing my lifelong dream of becoming a therapist my career was focused on behavioral and clinical research. This experience provided me with a deep understanding of addiction, grief and loss and family issues.
My office is easy to find and is centrally located in the South Bay in Manhattan Beach. The building offers plenty of free parking and is a short distance from El Segundo, Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, Palos Verdes, Hawthorne and Torrance. My office comfortably accomidates individuals (children or adults), couples and families. I offer both a flexible schedule and sliding scale payment arrangement for those who need it.
