Children & Teens
Therapy for children and teens

Kids and teens adjust to therapy differently then adults. My role after meeting your child is to build trust and rapport in order to create a therapeautic alliance that works. Typically for the first few weeks, we play games and get to know each other all the while talking. I utilize both art and games when working with younger kids and often will utilize art with teens as well. I see kids and teens for a multitude of reasons including but not limited to:

  • Bullying

  • Seperation or divorce

  • New move

  • Friends issues

  • Relationships

  • Transitioning into new school or neighborhood

  • Trauma

  • Depression

  • Anxiety

  • Panic attacks

  • Conflict resolution

Couples & Family
Couple and family therapy

I find that what couples and families really need is a safe space to engage in dialogue that previously has led to conflict. I work with couples who struggle with communicating their needs from one another, understanding their role in the conflict, as well as creating intimacy. More than just creating intimacy through sex, couples learn new ways and techniques to connect by hearing one another and practicing mutual respect.

Some of the issues couples seek therapy for are:

  • Infidelity

  • Cheating

  • Trust

  • Respect

  • Family conflict

  • Separation

  • Divorce

  • Fertility

  • Starting a family

  • Parenting

  • Grief and loss

  • Chronic health conditions

Similar to couples, families often come to therapy because there's conflict. This can occur when a stressful even occurs such as losing a family member, a family member is diagnosed with an illness, seperation/divorce, a move or any other reason for stress. My role is to collaborate with the family and gain a deeper understanding as to the family system. My goal is to create solutions that would produce an understanding for each family member to create accountability and open communication. A place where everyone feels safe to share and express their experience.

If you're looking for support and guidance through a challenging situation or you're ready to take your life in a new direction, I look forward to working with you in your journey to achieving your goals.
